Through a systematic and transparent approach to valuation, we determine a fair value that is recognised by experts, courts and tax authorities and can also be used by non-experts:

We analyse qualitative and quantitative factors covering the key areas of technology, law and profitability using a well-founded and needs-based valuation methodology in accordance with DIN 77100. On this basis, we use industry- and technology-specific licence rates and a market-based sales forecast including risk modelling to create a monetary patent valuation that is comprehensible and transparently documented for third parties.

Patents and portfolios as corporate value

In other valuation cases, property rights can secure financing or serve as a contribution in kind for start-up projects. Here, too, we can often offer our objective expert opinions in accordance with the aforementioned methods for greater confidence in a technology and its secure monopoly protection.

This means:

  • a higher probability for the positive outcome of bank discussions
  • a greater chance of funding approvals
  • a fair valuation of the „IP“ contribution for start-ups or the valuation of company shares

We optimise your patent portfolio!

We can also systematically determine values for larger patent portfolios. This is often used for the sale of technology divisions or complete company sales/liquidations.

Using indicator-based analysis and evaluation methods, we support you in maintaining and streamlining your patent portfolio. The abandonment of property rights and the identification of potential infringements, licence revenues to be generated outside the industry and the initiation of further property right applications in important areas are key aspects of the analysis.
